There are a wide range of items available where ever you visit in Vietnam. A large range of local handcrafts can be found in the numerous shops that make up Hanoi's old quarter and the only limitation is size - suitcase and wallet size!!
Numerous art galleries offer high quality art, street sellers offer anything from t shirts to cinnamon wood fans and toothpick holders and in your wanders you will see shops selling label items from abroad, local lacquer products, tailor shops offering to make something for you in a short time, high quality embroidered sheets and pillow cases, lanterns made from a variety of materials, chopsticks and holders,......and textiles from a wide numbe rof ethnic groups are available in the cities as well as places such as Bac Ha and Sapa.
Food - Dining
So much to eat and so little time! The food in Vietnam varies from region to region and can be enjoyed best with a group of friends - sharing dishes amongst everyone is part of the dining experience in Vietnam and allows you to enjoy all the delicious flavours!
If you are keen on food a great option is to partake in one of the many cooking classes on offer in Hanoi and elsewhere -
Walking the streets anywhere you will see a wide range of food on offer - you should try some of it - just point at what you want and sit down on a small chair and enjoy!
